Default Make Ursan Blessing fair

Yeah, im not happy with Ursan Blessing.
Im used to play elementalist. And I cant be accepted in quad run HM in DoA, which is (by far) the quickest way to earn money.
Since we're changed to ursans, our armor should be the same, our life too.
Heres the new ursan skill i suggest:

Ursan Blessing:
Elite Skill. You take the appearance of a bear. [...]
You have 80...95 armor and 550...700 hp. [...]

This way, we'll all be equal with ursan. No more "Im a warrior Im making twice your best gold income".
If we're changed into ursan, we dont have armor nor insignias anymore, thats common sense...

So you're basically asking for casters to have more armor?

Seriously, ursan is broken enough. It doesn't need to be buffed in any way.

I really dont like ursan at all since it took away creative gameplay from most HM and other things, but that sounds like a really good idea to me. I dont see what can go wrong

I don't care about if you turn into a bear or not.

The only thing that matters about the Norn blessings is that the replace all your skills.
Like the Junundu
Like de Siege Devourer
Like the BMP disguises.

When you play as a profession, you choose the skills based on your profession. But when you choose to Use the Ursan blessing, you only choose to play as an Ursan blessed character with the Ursan skills. Just like when you go in Junundu or Ride the Siege Devourer.

So, it should never mater which profession uses them, they should work the same.

One possible example is this:
* Norn blessings. Make them work like the BMP disguises.
o Primary attribute reduced to 0. (Maybe all attributes)
o 560..600 Health based on Norn rank.
o 20..60 Energy based on Norn rank.
o Fixed energy regen (-2) (This one is done already)
o Armor set to 60.
o Attack damage based on weapon equiped and norn rank..
o Then you add up the unique bonus of each blessing:
+ +40..100 Health for ursan
+ +10..30% block for raven
+ +1..4 HP regen for wolven.

Junundu should also be fixed. You can choose damage by changing weapons, so they should have always the same energy regen:
* Junundu. It currently considers the profession when it comes to energy regen, it also applies effects when you change armors or weapons. Fix that so you always get the same stats regardless of profession. Changing armors should have no effect. It could be renamed from 'Disguise' to 'Form' to match the Siege Devourer (or the Siege Devourer to disguise, XD)

Default DoA

If people don't want a non-melee Ursan you shouldn't change the skill to fit what you want. I have been in groups with all types: warriors, rits, monks, eles, assassins, etc. All it takes is people being a little more open-minded and a bit of armor. You may want to invest in an Aegis of Augh which is +26 armor for your ele (running E/W with 9 in tactics). I have no problems getting into groups with my monk running Ursan. Maybe make your own group with friends and then grab other PUGs. Maybe just get a bunch of friends to do it. There are so many possibilities it doesn't take changing the skill. All in all though I like to run UB only some of the time. I like to run a healer (N/Rt or Mo/*) or paragon in DoA.

Ive 8 shields, im switching em to fit the situation, warding sword, prismatic insignias, etc..
I still cant be compared to a warrior.
I still cant make that easy money farming gems in DoA.

And yeah, i dont like ursan blessing. I just need 150k to buy a FoW armor for my Rt.
"All you need is open minded ppl". Bleh..
Open minded guys wont run HM with 3 casters in the team, that would just be suicide. What about necros or mesmer, who have even less armor than me ?

I see that many got my idea. MithranArkanere resume it better than me. If Ursan Blessing exists, lets make it convenient for ALL players, not only for warriors.

were you planning on making any other changes to buff a skill thats already powerful enough?
we have enough people running ursan, we dont need every ele and his pet monkey doing it too

Since they created the ultimate C-space skill, they should make it the same for everyone. That, or never put the thing in regular play in the first place! Like melee other than sins need any help getting in groups.

I know this is a dumb idea for general play, but you can get 80 armor easily on an Elementalist. Just get an extra set of armor with Prismatic Insignia, and set all your 4 element attributes to 9. Drop the rest in Energy Storage, or just have a look at this chart, and apply runes to get whatever balance you want.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Attribute_point_spending

Or, you can even go E/W to get a req.9 Tactics shield with +10 vs. Demons, and you can still get 9 in all your element attributes with runes. That's 106 armor on an Ele.

Don't buff Ursan Blessing; it's not needed. PuG's are just dumb. You can get nearly the same armor(minus the physical and absorption) as a warrior if you just gimp your build. It's not like you need your attributes for anything in an Ursan build.

As a necro, Ursan is fine as it is. As a squishy character, the armor bonus I get on top of what I have is a huge boost, and the 600+ health is more than enough for me to get along just fine.

I'll admit, I enjoyed it more when casters could go ranged with ursan and I didn't have to worry about someone else being in my way to get to my target, but I see no reason why the HP/armor needs to be boosted any more than it already does.

I half-agree with that. In regards to it not needing more buffs. Ok, my typing is going to hell. I am drunk to the point where I can barely see straight.

I'm a Necro. I have only faced rejection from Ursan groups once. Then again, I tend to make my own groups for quad runs, then insist on people having sets of consumables or partial sets if they want in. Consumables null any need for "better armor" anyway. Good investment of 5k (approximate cost of 1 set).

Ursan (and the other blessings) can be fun and they do add something to the game, but really I wish they were limited only to certain quests or maybe to Norn areas. That way folks who like playing Ursan (or wolf or raven) could repeat those quests or play those areas, but I don't think those skills should belong in other areas of the game. It's almost (but not quite) like allowing you to be a jujundu worm in all other areas of the game.

Actually I play a monk and think this idea sucks. Eles get the most benefit out of PvE-only skills outside of Ursan (where high armored/melee physical gets it). Try playing a monk.
